PT MRT to Demolish HI Roundabout's JPO

Predictably, the demolishment of the old JPO will finish on October 11

PT MRT Jakarta is going to demolish a HI Roundabout's Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) and replace it with new one. Demolishment is conducted because the old JPO stood atop the construction land of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)  

Director fo PT MRT Jakarta, Dono Boestami disclosed such new JPO construction that took about four months is built as a consequence of the construction of MRT's underground stations at HI Roundabout area. "Currently, people can already use the new bridge," he said, Tuesday (9/23).

Meanwhile, Director of PT MRT Jakarta Construction, M Nasyir added the old JPO would be demolished after new JPO is operated. ""Predictably, the demolishment of the old JPO will finish on October 11," he uttered.

To reduce traffic congestion, traffic engineering system will be imposed around the HI Roundabout on October 3-4. The construction will also be done at 10 PM-5 AM.

The traffic engineering will be imposed on the west side or in front of Indonesia Plaza, and east side  or in front of Wisma Nusantara. On October, there will temporary closure on three roads from Kota-Sudirman, starting from at 1.15 PM-2 AM, and then continued with closure of all roads at 2.15-4.15 AM or for 120 minutes.

"During road closure, motorists coming from Sudirman towards Kota will be re-routed to Jalan Kebon Kacang or Jalan Agus Salim," he finished.
