JPO Construction, Road Diversion Prepared in HI Roundabout

Jakarta Transportation Department and City Police will conduct road diversion on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, starting from June 30-July 4. It aims to smoothen the pedestrian bridge (JPO) construction connecting to west and east sides of Jalan MH Thamrin.

Such construction is conducted as a replacement of the bus stop and HI Roundabout Transjakarta bus's JPO that have been demolished for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations. Later on, road diversion will be divided into four stages.
"First, on July 30, we plan to close several roads from south-north sides (Blok M-Kota) at 12-4.30 AM," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, M Akbar, Friday (6/27).

Third, on July 3, similar thing will be conducted from south-north (Blok M-Kota), precisely Jalan MH Thamrin junction-Jalan KH Wahid.
"Lastly, on July 4, we're going to do road closure from south-north sides (Blok M-Kota)," he expressed.
Akbar disclosed that especially second stage, his side to conduct road diversion from HI Roundabout-Jalan Sutan Syahrir or Jalan Kebon Kacang, etc.
"Third, we will do road diversion from Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim-Jalan Agus Salim/Sabang-etc," he told.
He urges residents to understand and can obey the policy in the field during JPO construction.
"I hope road users and public transports can adapt to our policy in the field, that is by obeying traffic rules, traffic officers' direction and prioritize personal safety," he added.
