East Jakarta Gulkarmat Tries to Operate Fire Fighting Robot

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department tried to operate fire fighting robot at Gulkarmat Pusdiklat Office, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

After the trial, we plan to use this fire fighter robot to put out fire or analyze fire material

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Muchtar Zakaria mentioned, his side tried to extinguish burning tires using fire fighting robot that produced by robotic technicians from Croatia.

"After the trial, we plan to use this fire fighter robot to put out fire or analyze fire material," he mentioned, Thursday (2/6).

He explained, this robot can push an object with weight 8 tons, pull object with weight 6 tons, lift object with weight 2.5 tons, then fireproof and resistant to explosion.

"This robot also able to hold 500 liters water and 400 liters foam with water spray range that could reach 55 meters while 40 meters for foam spray," he explained.

In this chance, Jakarta Gulkarmat Department's Facility Division Head, Suharja also train 53 personnel until February 12.

"We hope personnel can control t his fire fighting robot well," he closed.
