Setelah Ditutup 4 Bulan, Jl Otista 3 Dibuka Kembali

Jalan Otista III Re-opened

Jalan Otto Iskandardinata (Otista) III at Cipinang Cempedak Urban Village, Jatinegara Sub-District, East Jakarta, which had been closed since May for the construction project of Ciliwung River waterway to East Flood Canal (BKT), can be passed again now.

Jalan Otista III will be officially opened on upcoming September 30. The re-opening now is only trial to see whether there is still obstacle or not since there is a hole beneath the road

PT Wika Project Manager, Ismu Sutopo, said that Jalan Otista III can be passed again because the Ciliwung River waterway construction project has finished. However, the road re-opening is only temporarily for 1-2 days. If there were damages found, the road will be closed again.

“Jalan Otista III will be officially opened on upcoming September 30. The re-opening now is only trial to see whether there is still obstacle or not since there is a hole beneath the road. If there were problems, certainly there is still time to do repair,” he stated, Wednesday (9/24).

Ciliwung River Waterway Construction Project Complained by Residents

Later, Sutopo continued, the road will be closed again when the inlet and outlet channel pipes connection to arriving shaft is conducted. This open-close system would probably be done up to four times. As for the road asphalt which has been installed, it will be demolished.

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, Budi Sugiantoro, told that the re-opening of Jalan Otista III could smooth the traffic, especially on alternative lanes in Cipinang Cempedak, Jalan DI Panjaitan, and Jalan Otista Raya.

“When Jalan Otista III was closed, severe traffic congestion happened on alternative lanes as well as on the main road. With its re-opening, the traffic is expected would back to normal again,” he uttered.
