Pasokan BBM Berkurang, SPBU Mulai Tutup

Fuel Supply Thinning, Gas Stations in East Jakarta Closing

Lacking of fuel supply, some gas stations (SPBU) in East Jakarta are closed. For instance are SPBU on Jalan Radin Inten, Durensawit, and SPBU number 34-13305 on Jalan Otista Raya, Bidara Cina Urban Village, Jatinegara Sub-District, which has been closed since morning due to runs out of premium, diesel fuel, and non-subsidized fuel pertamax.

It’s not scarce because we still have supply. We’re only doing fuel supply control as instructed by the central government

“Since the fuel supply is limited two weeks ago, we only sell 152 kilo liters of premium and 24 kilo liters of diesel fuel although the needs are reaching 45 kilo liters,” said an officer in SPBU 34-13305, Monday (8/25).

Responding this situation, PT Pertamina Region III Fuel Retail spokesperson, Nila Suciany, stated that fuel is not scarce because there is still enough supply for 18 days ahead.

“It’s not scarce because we still have supply. We’re only doing fuel supply control as instructed by the central government,” she explained.

According to Suciany, this fuel supply control has been carried out since August 1, 2014. Particularly for diesel fuel, there is sales arrangement from 8 AM until 8 PM every day. The control is meant to keep diesel fuel not running out by upcoming November and mid December for premium. As a result, fuel availability in gas stations becomes affected.
