Toko Tani Indonesia Centre is Optimized to Maintain Food Price Stability

The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency is about to optimize the Toko Tani Indonesia Centre (TTIC) and Toko Tani Indonesia (TTI) to be an important part of maintaining price stability and easy access to food in Jakarta.

We also plan to develop TTIC online for Jakartans to get the necessary food needs

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head Darjamuni said the TTIC would serve the community at the household level throughout Jakarta area thus they can get cheap and high quality food commodities.

"We'll improve our service by providing TTIC cars to serve the citizens consecutively," he expressed, Tuesday (2/18).

The agency would expand collaboration and cooperation with Gapoktan, farmers and distributors to obtain supplies or stock of various food commodities.

"We also plan to develop TTIC online for Jakartans to get the necessary food needs," he explained.

Even, TTIC will also collaborate with food stalls spread in Jakarta area, which subsequently are designated as TTI.

"If its existence gets wider, citizens will get food easily, cheaply and with quality," he told.

He added food needs supply is from TTIC. But they may not set its own prices, prices are set in accordance with the rules not to harm or burden the community.

"Food commodities sold are rice, sugar, beef, chicken meat, chicken egg, onion, garlic, oil, chili, vegetables and fruit," he stated.
