City Keeps Socializing Eco-friendly Shopping Bags

The Jakarta Environment Agency continues to intensify socialization about environmentally friendly shopping bags to phase out plastic bags in accordance with the Gubernatorial Regulation number 142/2019.

It is held in shopping centers, supermarkets and traditional markets. Even, there are currently two piloted markets namely, Tebet Timur and the Tebet Barat.

"It is precisely held in 55 malls in Jakarta, as well as 83 Indonesian shopping center management associations. We have held focus group discussions with Perumda Pasar Jaya, which manages 153 traditional markets," expressed Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Andono Warih, Thursday (2/27).
