South Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Unit personnel build crossing channels (sodetan) and infiltration wells at RT 01/01 and RT 01/02 of Untung Jawa Island Urban Village to minimize inundation in the area.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi admitted, those areas are often inundated when rainfall intensity is rather high, thus it needs crossing channels and infiltration well.
"Hopefully, there will be no schools and settlements submerged by flood again," he said.
