Anticipating Inundation, Kali Jati PHB Channel in Bambu Apus Cleaned

Anticipating flood and inundation in rainy season, tens joint personnel were deployed to clean up Kali Jati connecting (PHB) channel on Jalan Mabes Hankam, Bambu Apus, Cipayung, East Jakarta. Those PPSU and Water Resources (SDA) Unit personnel used tools such as hoe, dustpan, shovel and others to clean the channel from mud and garbage.

"We deploy 20 personnel to clean the channel. It is done to anticipate inundation in this area when rain falls," stated Fajar Eko Satriyo, Cipayung Sub-district Head, Saturday (2/29).

According to him, those personnel cleaned up channel as long as 300 meters, from Jalan Mabes Hankam until sewers on Jalan Haji Karim, Bambu Apus. His side expected this cleaning can prevent and minimize inundation in the region.
