COVID-19 Team Vigilantly Socializes Awareness in Education to Workforce Environments

We must be in a high level of vigilance according to the Governor's direction

The COVID-19 Response Team Chairman Catur Laswanto said his party continues to socialize the awareness of COVID-19 in the scope of the ranks and partners of the Education, Health, Transportation, as well as Manpower, Transmigration and Energy agencies.

"We must be in a high level of vigilance according to the Governor's direction. That's why several regional apparatus organizations (OPD) have issued circular letters for those within the scope of coordinating their duties," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Commission A Appreciates Body Temperature Checks at Public Service Offices

Substantially, the letter contains precautionary actions, including the provision of body temperature detection devices (thermal scans), soaps, hand sanitizers, alcoholic hand washers 70-80 percent and cough etiquette calls when doing activities.

"The point is the content or materials relating to anticipation and vigilance in order to ward off or minimize the smallest possible outbreak of the coronavirus," he explained.

As for the next follow-up in the Health Agency is a meeting of the ranks of the Health Agency with 190 hospital leaders throughout Jakarta today. It is expected to strengthen joint commitment in a bid to increase awareness of the virus.

Then in the Education Agency, he instructed foreign students who are in cooperation schools in Jakarta and or have just traveled from abroad, to stay at home for 7-14 days until it is confirmed that conditions are really safe.

Until now as many as 121 people have passed the monitoring period. That means they are positively healthy. Yet 145 others are still being monitored, 34 have returned home in good health and 30 are still being treated.

"Once again I stress that understanding of monitoring shouldn't be interpreted as positive, as it was only given by the Health Ministry. We only do our duty to detect the virus," he asserted.

Jakarta Health Agency Head Widyastuti added response team post call center has received 2,689 calls since it has been launched since January 27. She stated, call center 112 and 119 or WhatsApp service at 081388376955 is made to serve people, starting from information to follow-up when the virus hits a person.

"Most of the callers come from Jakarta, outside Jakarta and even abroad. We serve and direct them well according to what they ask," she stressed.

As for the information, the Education has issued a circular letter number 16/2020 on Instructions for Schools and Teaching and Learning Centers to be Wary of Possible Transmission of COVID-19.

While the Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency has issued the same letter number 12/2020 on Instructions for Companies and Agencies to Increase the Alert Level of COVID-19 in the workplaces.

Lastly, the Transportation Agency's Circular Letter has been issued about Increasing the COVID-19 Transmission Risk Awareness on Public Transportation addressed to the leadership of public transportation companies in Jakarta through anticipation of various public transportation in Jakarta.
