Food Inspection Held in Four Traditional Markets in South Jakarta

South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department together with National Agency of Drug and Food Control held food inspection at Tebet Barat Market, Tebet Timur Market, Karet Belakang Market, and Menteng Pulo Market.

Alhamdulillah, those are safe for consumption and free from formalin and borax

Based on laboratory testing on 343 food samples from those four traditional markets, KPKP Sub-department and BPOM announced that all samples were safe for consumption.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-department Head, Hasudungan conveyed 323 food samples consist of 183 samples from agriculture products, 125 samples from fishery products, and 35 samples from livestock products.

Early February, Food Inspection will Be Held in Several Markets in South Jakarta

"Alhamdulillah, those are safe for consumption and free from formalin and borax," he asserted, Thursday (3/12).

According to him, his side has inspected food quality in 15 areas in South Jakarta from total target 27 traditional and modern markets.

"We hope to meet our target by the end of this month. Thus we can focus on maintaining food supply ahead of Ramadan," he closed.
