City Prepares Incentives for Medical Officers in Handling COVID-19

Rp 215,000 per person/day is the highest rate that can be given as a form of our respect

The Jakarta Provincial Government is going to inject incentives for medical staffs in the amount of Rp 215,000 per person/day involved in efforts to battle the COVID-19 outbreak in Jakarta. It is compliance the Jakarta Governor's statement in a press conference at the City Hall's Pendopo Building, Central Jakarta, on Monday (16/3).

"This amount given is in line with the Finance Minister's Regulation number 78/PMK.02/2019 on 2020 Standard Input Costs and Gubernatorial Regulation number 22/2016 on Standard Costs. Rp 215,000 per person/day is the highest rate that can be given as a form of our respect," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He disclosed medical officers are experiencing a heavy burden, as the number of people and patients who need health services has increased significantly. Moreover, those who are at the forefront have the greatest potential exposure to the virus.

"Even, as we said yesterday, some had in fact been exposed to coronavirus," he told.

By doing so, it is expected to lighten their burden that continues to increase during the last two months.

"This is given to officers who work in the field. So, this concerns all the individuals involved, we provide that incentive," he stated.
