Vehicle Taxes Payment Optimizes Online System due to Coronavirus

They only need to fill out the PKB deposit form for the current year

The Jakarta Regional Earnings Board (Bapenda) encourages citizens to optimize online system and cashless transaction in paying vehicle taxes (PKB) through SALMONAS and E-samsat apps that can be downloaded via Google Playstore.

"They only need to fill out the PKB deposit form for the current year. After that there will be receipts to be paid through the designated bank ATM," expressed Jakarta Bapenda Public Relations, Arismansyah, Friday (3/20).

It is hoped that they could really use this system thus can participate in implementing social distancing in an effort to anticipate the transmission of COVID-19.

"Yesterday we had to close services at Central and North Jakarta Samsat offices up to March 23," he explained.

While the services that are still open at the moment are the Samsat offices in West, East and South Jakarta.

"All Samsat services on March 21 to 28 will be closed, including Samsat outlets in malls or shopping centers," he said.
