50 School Buses Deployed to Facilitate Health Workers

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) deployed as many as 50 school buses to shuttle health workers from referral hospital for COVID-19 cases to hotels that have been provided by Jakarta Provincial Government.

Jakarta Dishub School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS) Head, Ali Murthadho conveyed, those buses will be used as shuttle buses for health workers who work at four hospitals; Pasar Minggu Public Hospital (RSUD), Tarakan RSUD, Duren Sawit RSUD, and Cengkareng RSUD.
"There are four BUMD's hotels used to accommodate health workers. Those are Grand Cempaka Business Hotel, d'Arcici Sunter Hotel, d'Arcici Al- Hijra Hotel, and d'Arcici Plumpang Hotel," he informed, Monday (3/30).
Commission D Urges City to Add More Portable SinksAccording to him, those school buses have served around 2,416 health workers from 4 RSUDs and PMI Jakarta.
"In average, each bus makes 6 trips per day adjusted to hospital work shifts. Health workers will be transported to the hotels where they stay," he said.
After operation, school buses will be sterilized at bus terminal. Inside and outside parts of the bus will be sprayed with disinfectant, as well as the bus crew.
"There are two bus crews on each bus that are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face mask, gloves, long-sleeved clothes, hat, and hand sanitizer," he explained.
