LRT Imposes 30-minute Headway due to Covid-19

The COVID-19 outbreak in the capital has resulted the PT LRT Jakarta to impose 30-minute headway starting today, Tuesday (3/31).

PT LRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary General Manager Arnold Kindangen said the policy will take effect from March 31 with operational hours of 6 AM to 8 PM and maximum passenger restrictions of 30 people while maintaining physical distancing.

"Before social distancing is applied, our passenger was 4,000 and plummeted into 679 on March 21. Unluckily it was down to 556 on March 24 and 144 on March 29," he expressed.

Nevertheless, his party continues to implement health protocols such as providing hand sanitizers and masks for those in need, as well as hand washing facilities with soap at the entrance of the station in cooperation with PAM Jaya.
