COVID-19, Arts Workers in Jakarta Receive Food Packages Aid

The Jakarta Culture Agency has managed to collect Rp 103,805,000 from 200 civil servants for arts workers affected by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

"We spend this money to buy food packages and then will be distributed door to door. Beneficiaries are the result of our own data collection verification upon priorities," expressed Jakarta Culture Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana, Wednesday (4/15).

He explained the food packages given are 500 food packages, comprising five kilograms of premium rice, two liters of cooking oil, one kilogram of flour, milk, sugar, coffee, sardines, instant noodles, tea, dates and margarine.

"This is a form of our concern for arts workers in Jakarta, as they have lost their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic," he explained.

He assessed arts workers in Jakarta have obeyed the government's rules related to the PSBB in the capital city. In addition, it is also to strengthen silaturahmi (friendship) between Jakarta Culture Agency with art workers.

"Hopefully the aid can be helpful for them," he hoped.
