No Motor Vehicle Tax Penalty During PSBB

This is valid from April 3 until May 29

Due to COVID-19 and PSBB status in Jakarta, the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has abolished the penalty of fine motor vehicle tax (PKB).

Jakarta Bapenda Acting Head Edi Sumantri said that it was made in accordance with the Gubernatorial Regulation number 36/2020 on the Abolishment of Regional Tax Administration Sanctions During COVID-19.

"This is valid from April 3 until May 29," he expressed, Sunday (4/26).

His party also implemented an online payment system through Samsat application. Thus taxpayers do not need to go to the Samsat office and can continue to maintain the physical distancing policy during PSBB.

"We urge them to use this moment as well as possible. The taxes paid will be very useful for optimizing the handling of COVID-19 in the capital," he explained.
