Pier and Port Activities in Thousand Islands are Closed

I call for the attention of all port heads in Thousand Islands to tighten supervision

Related to the red zone status on Tidung Island, the Jakarta Transportation Agency began closing sea transportation activities temporarily at all piers and ports in Thousand Islands region today, Monday (4/27).

Regional Port Operator Unit (UPPD) I Head Marlutitua said this policy does not apply to vessels carrying logistics, including the captain and crew.

"I call for the attention of all port heads in Thousand Islands to tighten supervision," he said.

He also urges them to increase coordination with cross-sectoral organizations to jointly maintain the movement and activities of sea transportation.

"Thousand Islands are all closed to the movement of passengers," he stated.
