Harapan and Untung Jawa Islands Optimizing Safe Island Task Force for Handling COVID-19

Through the Safe Island Task Force, the Harapan and Untung Jawa islands continue to conduct efforts to maintain the green zone from the spread of the coronavirus.

"In our region, we keep maximizing sweeping through two teams of Safe Island Task Force, namely Harapan and Sebira islands," expressed Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Adi Apandi, Monday (5/4)

It is done by imposing a curfew, making a portal on the border of Kelapa Island, dispelling and dispersing the crowd and people who do not wear masks.

"We also tighten checkpoints at the piers and sea transportation. This is important to curb the coronavirus spread," he explained.

To anticipate in an emergency, quarantine locations complete with facilities and infrastructure have also been set up, such as Harapan Island PKBM, SMP 280 Jakarta, SDN 01 Pulau Harapan, at the halfway house and SDN Satu Atap Pulau Sebira.

In addition, the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village in maintaining green zone from its region also does similar action. Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head Supriyadi said, his side involves the Safe Island Task Force to tighten sweeping and piers from activities of citizens outside the home.

"One of them is by coordinating with the boat taxi owners not to pick up passengers for the time being, except logistics or basic needs," he closed.
