Citizens: Mask Distribution in Public is Government Attention to Us as Citizens

Citizens living in Grogol Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta positively welcomed the free face mask distribution program from the Jakarta Provincial Government, which aims to curb the spread of COVID-19 outbreak.

As expressed by Sujana (60), one of mask receivers admitted that he was happy with this program. Besides free, it was very useful in this pandemic. He also now had many choices for wearing masks, especially when outdoors activities.

"This is a form of government attention to us as citizens," he stated, when being interviewed by Beritajakarta.id, Tuesday (5/5).

Similar thing was also felt by Irwansyah, Chairman of RT 08/08. He assessed, mask was much needed and also awaited by many. Moreover, its distribution was done door to door in order to avoid the crowd and in accordance with the instruction of the government.

"It is important to stop the chain of COVID-19 infections," he stated.

As reported before, Grogol Urban Village had distributed 41,702 masks to its citizens. Those masks were from the city government to protect citizens from the coronavirus spread.
