Back in Operation, Resort Islands Must Implement COVID-19 Health Protocol

They may operate, as long as they run the health protocol

After being closed for some time due to COVID-19, the resort island in Thousand Islands will operate again to serve guests and tourists.

According to Husein Murad, Regent of Thousand Islands, resorts in the islands did not break the provisions in the Gubernatorial Regulation number 33/2020 on the implementation of the PSBB in Handling COVID-19 in Jakarta.

In Article 10 paragraph 1, he explained, hospitality is one sector that is excluded from the temporary suspension of activity. While in Article 10 paragraph 4, it is explained that the hotel must follow the applicable health protocol during operation.

"They may operate, as long as they run the health protocol," he expressed, Monday (5/18).

He asserted, along with COVID-19 Task Force Team, his party would conduct PSBB sweeping on resort islands which will resume operations.

"If there are violations, we will give strict sanctions," he asserted.
