Officers Sanction 19 PSBB Violators in Kampung Melayu

Officers have imposed sanctions on 19 violators for violating large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Kampung Melayu Terminal area.

This is a deterrent effect to make them more disciplined to run health protocols

While wearing an orange vest that reads 'PSBB Offenders', those found not wearing masks take turns sweeping the streets.

Jatinegara Sub-district Head Endang Kartika Wahyuningsih said every day his party mobilized 45 joint officers to conduct sweeping during PSBB in different locations.

"This is a deterrent effect to make them more disciplined to run health protocols," he expressed, Monday (5/18).

Jatinegara Sub-district Satpol PP Head Sadikin said that his party had imposed social work and administrative sanctions according to Gubernatorial Regulation number 41/2020, concerning Imposition of Sanctions against PSBB Offenders, in the Covid-19 Handling in Jakarta since Friday (5/15).

Based on the data, there were 22 violators on Friday (5/15), 15 violators on Saturday (5/16), 19 violators on Sunday (5/17) and Monday (5/18).

"For administrative fine, we only charge at Rp 100,000 and then deposited to the regional treasury via Bank DKI's account," he stated.
