Panggang Island's COVID-19 Rapid Tests Show Negative Results for 40 Travelers

They are negative from the virus, as they show no symptoms

A total of 40 travelers from Panggang Island working as PJLP under Jakarta Provincial Government and boat crews have been tested negative after undergoing a rapid test by local puskesmas medical workers.

Panggang Island Puskesmas Head Tri Lusmantoro said those travelers consisted of 34 PJLP personnel at various sub-agency offices, 4 boat crews and 2 captains.

"They are negative from the virus, as they show no symptoms," he expressed, Thursday (5/28).

Nevertheless, they still have to undergo a self-isolation and follow the health protocol in their respective homes.

In responding on this matter, Panggang Island Urban Village Head Pepen Kuswandi appreciated the team's quick actions, especially medical workers who are swift to conduct health check-up on travelers to break the chain of COVID-19 outbreak.

"Surely it has increased the confidence of citizens in the government apparatus who have protected them from the disease," he stated.
