Jakarta Government sets 66 RWs or about 2.48 percent from total 2,742 RWs in Jakarta as Strict Control Areas (WPK) during the Transitional Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in June 2020.
There are 66 RWs in Jakarta with higher incidence rate that need special attention
There is an increase for incidence rate at those 66 RWs thus government needs to pay more attention to every element in the community in implementing COVID-19 health protocol. It was said by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan in the press release regarding the extension of transitional PSBB at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (6/4).
"Population in Jakarta reaches 11,058,944 people in total 44 sub-districts, 267 urban villages, and 2,741 RWs. Because we have data up to RW level thus we know that their conditions are different. There are 66 RWs in Jakarta with higher incidence rate that need special attention but I need to give its proportion. There are 2,741 RWs in total. It means, it is only 2.4 percent of total RWs, and thank God the other 97.6 percent are relatively under control," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.
Anies Extends Jakarta PSBB, June Becomes Transition PeriodHe asserted, 66 RWs which set as WPK would have specific rules to limit their activities which adjusted to the characteristics of each regions. He stated that he would carry out monitoring, testing, and providing special assistance for residents in 66 WPK RWs.
"I need to underline that in March, South Jakarta is red. But today it becomes green and yellow. It means we can change it and it is proven. But we have the remaining 66 red RWs. Our homework isn't finished yet. We must handle it specifically. So, if we look at the work of millions Jakarta residents, we can see the change from red zone to yellow and green zones," he stated.
