On that occasion, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan assessed that the discipline of citizens towards this regulation is a determinant of the new normal period.
"So what determines whether this PSBB is extended or not is not actually the government or the experts yet it is the behavior of the people. If they obey the rules, the disease can be stopped," he explained.
He hoped that it was the last and the community would lead a new normal life while still complying with the health protocols.
"We will announce the protocols in each sector that are ready to operate, starting from the protocol of economic, worship, social, cultural activities. Thus we can live our new normal life while preventing transmission of COVID-19," he explained.
In the meantime, the enforcement of discipline in the critical times like this required cooperation with the military and police officers. According to TNI Commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, his side had cooperated with the police to alert all personnel to help enforce PSBB rules.
"The plan for disciplining the health protocol is places of community traffic. Then is the mall, the folk market, the place of tourism. From the data, there are 1,800 objects that we will implement the discipline. In the first phase, it will be done simultaneously in four regions, namely Jakarta, especially in HI Roundabout, Bekasi area, West Java, West Sumatra and Gorontalo," he closed.
