City Tests Sudirman Station After the Arrangement

Today, Jakarta Government carried out trial on the arrangement of Sudirman Station, Central Jakarta by involving PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), PT. KAI, and Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya.

We will continue to improve quality of public transport service in Jakarta by prioritizing integrated service

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, station arrangement project was carried out from collaboration between Jakarta Government and State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Regional-owned enterprises (BUMD). Previously, trial also carried out in other arranged stations such as Tanah Abang Station, Juanda Station, and Pasar Senen Station.

Through this arrangement, he continued, stations will be integrated fully with other public transportation, such as MRT, Transjakarta, or two-wheeled transportation. It is expected to facilitate public transport users in taking other public transport in a safe and comfort way.

"This way, we expect more public transport users in the future. Although in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, but we will continue to improve quality of public transport service in Jakarta by prioritizing integrated service," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Eri (40), one of KRL passengers assessed, this arrangement made it easier for him to take other public transport because access to enter and exit the station is using pedestrian plaza thus it is not as chaotic as before.

"Now it becomes easier, practical and convenient. Besides it can prevent congestion," he said.
