West Jakarta launched COVID-19-Free Kampong in 56 urban villages of 8 sub-districts in the region, on this Saturday (6/6). This launching carried out symbolically at RW 05 Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan.

West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi conveyed, COVID-19-Free Kampong title is given for RW that is free of COVID-19 cases and its residents have implemented anticipatory measures according to the health protocol.

"Together with City Leadership Communication Forum and local residents, we have launched COVID-19-Free Kampong thus it can be the role model for RWs in other areas," he said on the location.

He assessed, if each regions could be consistent in implementing strict health protocols, then West Jakarta has the potential to be free from COVID-19 in the near future.

West Jakarta Resort Police Chief, Police Commissioner Audie S. Latuheru conveyed, RW 05 Tanjung Duren becomes one of 56 RWs in West Jakarta that has implemented health protocols consistently thus it can be free from COVID-19.

"RW 05 is one of COVID-19-Free Kampong that has implemented good health protocols in the area," he said.

West Jakarta Dandim 0503, Colonel Cavalry Valian Wicaksono mentioned, his side deployed 917 personnel to monitor health protocols implementation in public spaces, traditional markets, modern markets, bus terminals, stations, and others.

"Together with local government and resort police, we will give our support in monitoring residents thus they can comply with health protocols," he asserted.
