The Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency has prepared operational standards (SOP), which aims to implement health protocols for the caretakers of resort islands, homestays and restaurants.

According to Puji Astuti, Head of Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency, health protocols imposed include being obliged to provide sanitation facilities, hand sanitizers, wash basins and only provide half of the occupancy capacity and minimize employee interaction with guests.

"We're doing this in the context of the extension of the PSBB transition stage," she expressed, Sunday (6/7).

She explains, the SOP is valid starting from departing aboard, restrictions on ship passengers from capacity to snorkeling rentals. It is set to anticipate the spread of the new coronavirus in Thousand Islands.

"Hopefully, in this transition, entrepreneurs and tourists can be disciplined following the health SOP. Thus our islands will be safe from the virus," she stated.
