PPKUKM Sector Must Adopt Strict COVID-19 Preventive Health Protocol

Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency has issued Decree number 194/2020 on COVID-19 Prevention Protocol Sector Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises During Transitional PSBB towards a Healthy, Safe and Productive Community.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Acting Head Elizabeth Ratu Rante Allo said the decree was signed to be a reference for officers in implementing the COVID-19 prevention protocol in the PPKUKM sector, such as in the business places, ranging from industrial activity that carries out the process of producing goods and services; trade activities that carry out trade transactions for essential goods and important goods, food needs, warehousing and other daily needs; as well as UKM activities that conduct business transactions with consumers in the coached location (lokbin) or temporary location (loksem).

"They must implement strict health protocols, especially in facilities and infrastructure, including toilets and prayer rooms, personal protective equipment (PPE) and visitor capacity," she expressed, Monday (6/15).

She detailed the industrial sector such as factories, workshops, services and photocopies was scheduled to operate on June 8 and trade sector such as shops or stand-alone retailers, showrooms and warehousing on June 8.

"As for the market, shopping center and mall on June 15," she explained.

She added the UKM sector under the Jakarta Provincial Government in the lokbin and loksem had been able to operate from June 13.

"Especially for the types of activities in shopping centers or malls that are not allowed to operate on June 15 to July 2 are children's playground area and temporary children's games, fitness center, cinema, all types of performances and exhibitions, function hall, beauty shop, barbershop and bar," she stressed.

She went on to say that if there were a significant increase in new cases, they would not operate temporarily.

"The owner and the person in charge of the business place must complete the integrity pact from the form provided. "When the officers arrive, the integrity pact is given," she stated.
