Vice Governor Appeals for Breakthroughs in Socio-Economic Sector during Pandemic Period

There is an increase in online sales

The Jakarta Provincial Government has opened a number of public facilities, public activity units and other socio-economic activities gradually during the transitional PSBB.

Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria took his time to visit the Pramuka Market and Palmeriam Urban Village Office areas, on Thursday (6/25). He appealed for a breakthrough in the socio-economic sector that began to progress gradually in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accompanied by Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin, he was directly monitoring several markets, namely Drug Market and Poultry Market. Afterwards, he stated, breakthrough in question was to increase sales by online, especially in the Drug Market.

"Today I continue my visit to ascertain the activity units, whether they can run properly according to the COVID-19 protocol or not. I visited the Drug Market. There is an increase in online sales. That means, there needs to be a breakthrough in order to increase economic transactions and sales," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He also stressed that the implementation of health protocols in the market area had gone well. All traders, buyers and managers should be disciplined in implementing it, especially when conducting buying and selling transactions.

"I also go to the Bird Market to check the health protocol. Alhamdulillah all goes well. It must be applied tightly. For visitors who do not use masks will not be served. We also do periodic disinfectant spray in the market area. So I want all to be disciplined," he asserted.

Previously he and East Jakarta Mayor M Anwar as well as council members had visited to the Palmeriam Urban Village Office, East Jakarta. He urged all urban village offices in the capital to always prioritize health protocols in providing public services to the community.

"I also go to the urban village office this morning to ensure that public services are running well. All officers use face shields and related to various services that are our obligation have followed the rules. By so the public feels happy with the various services we have provided through the urban villages and sub-districts," he stated.
