Eight Roads in West Jakarta are Prepared to Smoothen Car Free Day

Car Free Day will start at 6 AM to 9 AM. No selling activities during the event

The West Jakarta administration is set to hold Car Free Day on eight roads on the coming Sunday (6/28). Every visitor is required to comply with COVID-19 preventive health protocols such as using a mask, maintaining physical distancing, carrying a hand sanitizer and washing hands frequently.

West Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant Fredy Setiawan said that its implementation was to follow up the direction of the province and as a location to replace Car Free Day along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin that temporarily suspended.

South Jakarta Prepares Five Car Free Day Locations

Those eight roads were Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk and CNI area such as Jalan Puri Harum, Jalan Puri Ayu, Jalan Puri Elok and Jalan Puri Molek, Jalan Puri Ayu I and Jalan Puri Molek I.

"They were chosen, as they had previously been used for Car Free Day such as Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Hayam Wuruk. As for the CNI area is still under the development of western primary center," he expressed, Thursday (6/25).

Aside that, in CNI area included minimal movement of people and vehicles thus it was suitable for sports activities.

"Car Free Day will start at 6 AM to 9 AM. No selling activities during the event," he closed.
