Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared 32 Car Free Day (CFD) alternate locations because Jalan Sudirman - MH. Thamrin will be closed temporarily for CFD starting Sunday, June 28, 2020.
CFD will be started from 6 AM to 9 AM on those 32 locations

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo mentioned, 7 of 32 alternative roads are often used for local CFD, with additional 25 roads that will be optimized as public area for sporting purpose.
"CFD will be started from 6 AM to 9 AM on those 32 locations. For residents who want to exercise, please choose the nearest CFD location to prevent crowd," he asserted, Thursday (6/25).
From the evaluation result, he explained that Jalan Sudirman - MH. Thamrin was crowded with people who walking, running, and cycling at CFD on last Sunday (6/21). Because of it, his side expand the CFD area in order to prevent crowd and COVID-19 transmission.
"On that day, total 21,342 pedestrian and 18,813 cyclist. It is very crowded," he said.
Thus, his side issued policy to add more locations for CFD thus people can exercise while minimizing the potential of COVID-19 transmission.
"Starting next Sunday, Jalan Sudirman - MH. Thamrin can be passed by vehicles until the upcoming decision. But, pop-up bike lane is still installed in there," he mentioned.
