This Weekend, Car Free Day in Eight Sub-districts

Central Jakarta Mayor Bayu Meghantara reveals Car Free Day event will be held in eight sub-districts on Sunday (6/28), which aims to avoid the crowd along Jalan Sudirman - Jalan Thamrin. 

We'll hold it at 6 AM to 10 AM without presenting entertainment, bazaar, etc

During the event, the public would be urged to follow the health protocol that is by always wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing up to one meter.

"We'll hold it at 6 AM to 10 AM without presenting entertainment, bazaar, etc," he stated, Wednesday (6/24).

Dishub Personnel Dispatched to Monitor Car Free Day Event

Those eight sub-districts are Gambir (Jalan Suryopranoto), Sawah Besar (Jalan Mangga Dua), Senen (Jalan Paseban Raya), Kemayoran (Jalan Benyamin Sueb), Cempaka Putih (Jalan Pramuka Sari), Menteng (Jalan Amir Hamzah), Johar Baru (Jalan Percetakan Negara II) and Tanah Abang (Jalan Danau Tondano).

"This is just for healthy walk, jogging and cycling. Residents must follow government regulations by implementing COVID-19 preventive health protocols such as always washing hands, wearing masks, keeping a distance and bringing hand sanitizers," he stated.
