Two Infiltration Wells are Being Built in Lancang Island

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is building infiltration wells in front of Assa'adah Mosque at RT 02/03, Lancang Island, Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rauf mentioned, infiltration wells are built to reduce inundation when the rain falls.

"We deploy 5 personnel to build the infiltration wells since yesterday," he said, Wednesday (7/1).

428 Infiltration Wells Built in South Jakarta

According to him, each infiltration wells are built in the size of 1x1 meters and depth 1 meter using cement and pipes which connected to the nearest channel.

"These infiltration wells are not only usefu l to reduce inundation, but also able to store water during dry season. Our target is to finish it until the next four days," he conveyed.
