Thousand Islands Regent Comes Down with 3 M Rules

It aims to encourage the movement to wash hands again, wear masks and keep a distance

The Thousand Islands Regency campaigned for the standard 3 M rules to residents on Pramuka Island, which aims to protect them from COVID-19 transmission, Thursday (7/2). The 3M stands for Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (keeping a distance).

This campaign was conducted at the same time formalizing the use of tower drum washing facilities at Pramuka Island Pier through Thousand Islands Regent Husein Murad.

"It aims to encourage the movement to wash hands again, wear masks and keep a distance," the regent said.

He explained the tower drum was from the INTI community organization. Besides on Pramuka Island, it was also placed in other piers.

INTI Community Organization Chairperson Teddy Sugianto added his side also sent protective gears, masks, thermal gun and hand sanitizer to the safe island task force team in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.

"Hopefully it can be useful for locals and tourists in Thousand Islands," he hoped.
