Hundreds of Vendors in Kota Tua Area are Being Recorded

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency along with the West Jakarta administration began to conduct data collection and registration on hundreds of vendors in Kota Tua area, Tamansari. This action has mobilized 150 personnel of West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency, Satpol PP and assisted by army and police.

Kota Tua vendors are part of the development and existence of the city

At the location, those personnel are deployed to Jalan Kunir, Jalan Lada, Mandiri Building and Jalan Kali Besar while spreading form and ask vendors to fill in their personal data and choose three business spaces that have been provided in Kota Intan Coached Location (Lokbin), Kerta Niaga Building and Cipta Niaga Building.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo explained Kota Intan Lokbin is a place or incubator for novice entrepreneurs, while the business spaces in Cipta Niaga Building and Kerta Niaga are for vendors who want and have already graduated.

"After passing through data collection phase, we'll match the old merchant data of 761 vendors. We see old vendors who are still trading until now and we prepare business space. Hopefully vendors in Kota Tua area can move up the class, arranged according to the city hygiene and order standards," she stated, Sunday (7/19).

She added the city administration revitalized the Kota Tua with its vision as an international-level historical tourism destination that is economically, socio-culturally and environmentally sustainable, one of its missions was to provide a creative economy-friendly room.

"Kota Tua vendors are part of the development and existence of the city. As the capital city, Jakarta must look modern with clean, orderly, comfortable and beautiful urban planning," she explained.

West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head Nuraini Silviana detailed, registration schedule for Kota Tua vendors was from July 18 to 24. Her sub-agency also set up registration posts at Taman Kota Intan Lokbin on Jalan Cengkeh, Pinangsia and Tamansari sub-districts' offices.

Aside that, they could also register online through bit.ly/PendaftaranPKLKotaTua or via email kumindagjb@gmail.com.

"The deadline falls on July 24. It will be continued with data verification and kiosk numbering phases on July 25-27, kiosk raffling on July 28-29, deadline for vendors who choose the Kota Intan Lokbin on July 30 and checking phase for vendors who have entered in Kota Intan Lokbin on July 2," she told.

She added the Kota Intan Lokbin capacity was for 456 vendors, while Kerta Niaga and Cipta Niaga were for 200 vendors.

"We provide the best for them while creating Kota Tua area that is more organized, comfortable, beautiful," he stated.
