10,179 people enjoy cycling and jogging along Jalan Gajah Mada and Hayam Wuruk that used as sports areas in West Jakarta, Sunday (8/2) morning.

"While the results of monitoring in six sports areas in Kembangan Sub-district, there are 2,993 cyclists and 2,230 joggers," expressed West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Erwansyah.

Taman Sari Sub-district Transportation Executing Unit Head Kosidin explained joint officers were deployed to supervise community sports activities along Jalan Gajah Mada and Hayam Wuruk.

"So far people still comply with health protocols when they exercise on weekends," he told.

He added most residents when wearing sports had worn masks, kept their distance and did not gather at a certain point.

"According to the rules, kids under the age of 9 years and the elderly are not allowed to take part in the sport activities," he stated.
