For those of you who like the quiet atmosphere while breathing clean air, there's no harm in visiting the Kembangan Utara Urban Forest (HKKU) in RT 01/08, Kedoya Utara, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. At the location, you can also enjoy the beauty of hundreds of big and tall trees.

The trees make this urban forest that has a 1.69-hectare land worthy of being an attractive tourist destination on weekends.

Suryono (47), a local resident said, the HKKU was very suitable to be a place of recreation and sports because of its shady place filled with big trees.

"Prior to COVID-19 outbreak, this place is always crowded with people who want to exercise or do jogging on weekends," he expressed, Tuesday (7/28).

Separately, West Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head Jauhar Arifin expressed, besides being a place of recreation, it was also intended as a water catchment and the lungs of the city. It could also be used as a place of education for children who want to know the types of trees.

Despite not yet open to the public, maintenance was routinely conducted. At the location, there were also security officers who are always on guard.

"We will reopen after the situation is under control. But now we are still close," he closed.
