Last Day of Socialization, Odd-even Plate Policy Along Jalan Gunung Sahari Intensified

Most people already understand odd-even policy rules

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency officers assisted by the police continue to socialize the implementation of odd-even plate policy at Jalan Gunung Sahari, Pademangan. It has been ongoing since Monday (8/3) and will end today as the last day of socialization action.

"Most people already understand odd-even policy rules," said North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head Harlem Simanjuntak, Wednesday (8/5).

Besides socialization, his agency also gave a small flag as a reminder to drivers of black cars and a red rose for public transport users.

"It is a series of commemorating the upcoming Independence Day. While the rose is a form of appreciation to public transport users," he expressed.

Last Monday and Tuesday, he explained, some 93 motorists got a warning as their vehicle plate was not in accordance with the applicable rules.

In the operation, his side had dispatched 40 personnel divided into two shifts at six custody points. Upon entering a period of enforcement, enforcement authorities lied in the police.

"We still smell violations from the motorists in the field and we just warn them so far. But, starting tomorrow, we will impose strict sanction for violators," he asserted.
