Since Monday (8/3) until Wednesday (8/5), the Jakarta Provincial Government together with Polda Metro Jaya continues to socialize the odd-even plate policy in a number of roads in the capital.

Monday until Wednesday, we only give warning, but no tolerance today

Especially in West Jakarta, it has been noted that the number of violations during socialization continues to decline. There are five road sections that are applied evenly from 6 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 9 PM.

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Operation Division Head M Wildan Anwar said, on Tuesday (8/4) morning, as many as 155 vehicle owners got warning after they did violation and decreased to 119 violators in the afternoon. This number kept decreasing to 106 violators on Wednesday morning.

"Monday until Wednesday, we only give warning, but no tolerance today," he expressed, Thursday (8/6).

He furthered, from the monitoring results, most residents already know the odd-even rules. Starting today, we had alerted 50 personnel at Tomang intersection, Slipi intersection, Grogol intersection, Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan.

"Each spot has 10 personnel. We also get support from the police of West Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Unit," he closed.
