Metro Jaya Chief Conducts Work Visit to Thousand Islands

We will add personnel and patrol boats to safeguard the waters this year

Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Insp. Gen. Nana Sujana, visited the Thousand Islands and was directly welcomed by Thousand Islands Acting Regent, resort police, district military commander (Danramil) and public figures from Panggang Island Urban Village, on Thursday (8/6).

On that occasion, the chief appreciated the cooperation in regional security and law enforcement that has been carried out by the three pillars in Thousand Islands region. He assessed, there were many achievements that had been made regarding law enforcement in the waters of the Thousand Islands region.

"We will add personnel and patrol boats to safeguard the waters this year," he expressed.

His party also called on police to be pro active in supervising the implementation of PSBB in Thousand Islands, thus tourists and locals were disciplined in implementing health protocols during the pandemic period.

"We must participate in returning the Thousand Islands from the yellow zone to the green zone," he asserted.

Thousand Islands Acting Regent Junaedi added his party thanked the police and the army for their cooperation in securing the area so far and hoped that this synergy could be further strengthened.

"In the future, it needs to be strengthened thus our islands can be really safe from crime and comfortable to travel," he stated.

As for the information, the chief takes this time to attend in several series of activities including; giving compensation to orphans in Al Hidayah and Al Maqfiroh foundations, Panggang Island, giving 143 staple packages for people of Panggang Island and spreading grouper seeds in the cage.
