Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama hopes his position could be filled by a person who is honest and hardworking. He asserted, the figure is much needed in Jakarta.

"People who want to work are those who have a clear track record," said Basuki, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/14).

When being asked concerning two names: Chairman of Jakarta Gerindra's DPD, Mohammad Taufik and Chairman of Jakarta PDIP's DPD, Boy Sadikin, Basuki stated he will hand over it to party policy.

"It depends on the party policy. But I want a figure of the former Blitar Mayor, Djarot Saeful Hidayat," he expressed.

Former regent of East Belitung promised to recommend the name of the vice governor to Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) that does not have problems with him. Even, he threatens to reject candidates proposed by parties, if the names are in trouble. This is because, he believes has the authority to determine the vice governor candidates.

"Don't mess with me. This is because many regional heads reject to do a signature for a term until the end. It had happened on my vice when I served as regent of East Belitung," he admitted.
