IRTI Street Vendors` Stalls Demolished by Joint Personnel

Hundreds of street vendors' stall at Ikatan Restoran dan Taman Indonesia (IRTI) field Monas, Central Jakarta were demolished by joint personnel, Thursday (10/16).
The traders will be relocated to new place namely Lenggang Jakarta
As much as 1,000 personnel from Satpol PP, assisted by 300 Army, Police, and 200 personnel from related units were deployed to demolish the staalls. The activity run smoothly without refusal from traders.
Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santoso, said there were 339 stalls demolished. Mostly the traders have packed their properties since yesterday night.

"We care much about them. Related units have prepared training for them to create healthy stalls to join at Jakarta Night Market, on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan every Saturday night," he explained.
There were 15 trucks from Jakarta Cleanliness Department deployed to transport debris.
"The former street vendors stalls will be made as parking lot and green open space," Kukuh added.
