JPS Executive Director Syaiful Jihad said that it was not to trouble residents and business actors, but to invite all parties to play an active role in fighting the COVID-19 more optimally.

"This policy is applied in stages. If violations are made repeatedly, the violator will be subject to maximum administrative sanctions as a deterrent effect," he expressed, Monday (8/24).

He went on to say that business actors who violated the rules would be closed for 3x24 hours until the sanction of fines reached hundreds of millions.

He also instructed Satpol PP and related units to carry out the task according to the mandate of gubernatorial regulation.

"This rule becomes a guideline thus they can carry out their duties firmly and consistently," he stressed.
