JPS Dukung Penghapusan Biaya Sewa Rusun Selama COVID 19

JPS Appreciates Government's Decision to Eliminate Rusunawa Rental Fee Temporarily

Jakarta Public Service (JPS) appreciated Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan for his decision to temporarily eliminate rental fees of rental low-cost apartment (Rusunawa) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We appreciate and support the issuance of Pergub No. 61/2020

It was regulated in Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 61/2020 concerning Granting the Regional Levies Relief and/or Eliminating Administrative Sanctions for the Ratepayers who Affected by COVID-19 National Disaster.

"We appreciate and support the issuance of Pergub No. 61/2020 as government's partiality to the public or residents," stated Mohammad Syaiful Jihad, JPS Executive Director, Tuesday (7/14).

Rusunawa Occupants Express Excitement about Free Rental Costs

Similar thing was also conveyed by Executive Director of Indonesia for Transparency and Accountability (Infra), Agus Achmad Chairudin. He assessed, Anies's policy was very noble because it aimed to help the lives of Rusunawa occupants who were affected by COVID-19.

"Actually, occupants in Rusunawa which managed by Jakarta Government are from lower economic community who felt the most impact of COVID-19 outbreak," he conveyed.

Related to this issue, his side expected government to form independent team to monitor the implementation of this Pergub by re-collecting data of Rusunawa occupants.

"Independent team's task is to check the updated data of Rusunawa occupants as well as their economic condition. Thus government's target to help residents or Rusunawa occupants who affected by COVID-19 can be obtained," he closed.
