Jakarta Government Implements Strict Health Protocols at Face-to-Face Meetings

Jakarta Government continues to work optimally amid of COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the meetings are held virtually via video conference. But some leadership meetings (Rapim) that discuss important issues are still carrying out through face-to-face or physical presence method. But, it is ensured that all participants comply with health protocols.  

All participants who attended that meeting had undergone COVID-19 test and were in good condition

During Rapim, participants are required to wear mask, the seats must be arranged with minimum distance of 1 meter, and hand sanitizer must be provided outside of Rapim room. Moreover, the officials must take COVID-19 test independently before meeting thus participants who attend the meeting can be assured that they are healthy.

It was explained by Jakarta Regional Employment Agency (BKD) Head, Chaidir, to respond the news of Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency Head, Suzi Marsitawati who attended Rapim on August 19, then reported positive COVID-19 on Monday (8/24). According to him, all participants who attended that meeting had undergone COVID-19 test and were in good condition.

"She (Suzi Marsitawati) underwent an independent swab test on national holidays and joint leave, then the result came out on Monday with positive result. But I need to emphasize that all participants attended at meeting on August 19 had followed the COVID-19 test procedure first and confirmed healthy. Transmission didn't occur in the meeting room because we have implemented very strict health protocols," he stated as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Tuesday (8/25).

Furthermore, he mentioned that strict health protocols will be carried out continuously in Jakarta Government office area. Face-to-face meeting are still carried out to discuss important issues by implementing strict health protocols.

"Rapim participants must sit within a safe distance and wear mask to prevent virus transmission. Employees who have been confirmed positive COVID-19 can report to BKD and carry out self-isolation," he asserted.
