JakWIFI is Now Available at RW 01 and 02 Galur Urban Village

Central Jakarta Mayor, Bayu Meghantara inaugurated JakWIFI at the secretariat office of RW 02, Galur Urban Village, Senen Sub-district, Central Jakarta, on Friday (8/28).

It is a part of cooperation between government and private sides

According to him, JakWIFI program is made with purpose to ease students in Central Jakarta to do distance learning and fulfill residents needs in accessing internet, especially in slum areas. In Central Jakarta, JakWIFI is recently installed at RW 01 and 02 Galur Urban Village, Senen Sub-district.

"It is a part of cooperation between government and private sides. Before, representatives from APJATEL visited us. It is also an integral part of education for the community," he added.

Legislator Wants City to Provide Free Internet Access for Poor Students

Meanwhile, RW 02 Galur Urban Village Head, Sunarsa explained, his side divided students who want to access free internet in two shifts, 07:00-10:00 and 10:00-13:00. It is done to prevent crowds at RW Secretariat Office.

"Local RT/RW administrators help monitoring the students. We divide them in two shifts, morning for elementary school students and afternoon for junior or high school students," he mentioned.
