Seaworld Terancam Dipidanakan

Sea World Conflict Continues

Mutual claims over management rights of Sea World, North Jakarta, is still continuing. Now the manager of Ancol Dream Park, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol (PJA) TBK, is considering bringing the case to court.

Whatever the court ruling did not dampen the spirit, because the agreement has expired and was legally void

President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, Gatot Setyowaluyo said, the background presence of Sea World in Ancol is Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement between the two parties in 1992,  PT Sea World Indonesia (SWI) and PT PJA which ends on September 20, 2014.

"Whatever the court ruling did not dampen the spirit,  because the agreement has expired and was legally void. And there is still no new agreement as a legal basis for the operation of Sea World by PT SWI," he said, Thursday (10/16).

Ancol will Become International Recreational Site

Ancol party, he said, is still waiting for the Sea World to respect the agreement. It is expected, according BOT, they first hand over the asset management negotiations. If a new agreement is reached, new contract will be signed.

"But if they have no good faith and protracted, we will issue to the court. At present, we examine it," he added.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations of PT Sea World Indonesia, Teddy Sukmawinata, stated that it refers to the North Jakarta District Court that restores from the old covenant. Moreover, there is no further decision (appeal judgment) against the decision.

"We do not know and there has been no report on the subject (the plan of punishment). This means that if there is any, we will respond to appropriate legal procedures," he stated.
