BPS Continues Population Census 2020 Process in Thousand Islands

Starting Wednesday (9/2), Thousand Islands Central Statistics Agency (BPS) began carrying out Population Census 2020 in six urban villages of two sub-districts.

It is the continuation of online population census that has been conducted some time ago

Thousand Islands BPS Acting Head (Plt), Dwi Paramita Dewi conveyed, this population census is held directly (offline) or door-to-door on September 1-31 as the continuation of the previous stage that has been conducted online.

"It is the continuation of online population census that has been conducted some time ago," she mentioned, Wednesday (9/2).

The population census officers got assistance from RT heads and urban villages apparatuses in verifying people's data from house to house. Before carrying out their duties on the field, those officers have undergone rapid test first at the urban village health center (Puskesmas) or health post.

"We ensure to comply with health protocols while carrying out our duties," he asserted.
