Rekan Supports City's Plan Regarding COVID-19 Patients Isolation

Indonesia Health Volunteers (Rekan) supports Jakarta Government in preparing regulations on COVID-19 patients isolation.

COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms in Jakarta will be isolated at Athletes Village and those with severe symptoms will be treated in hospitals

Indonesia National Rekan Chairman, Agung Nugroho assesed, the plan of Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, to place positive COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms at Athletes Village (Wisma Atlet) and severe patients in hospitals is the right measure to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

"COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms in Jakarta will be isolated at Athletes Village and those with severe symptoms will be treated in hospitals. This Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan's policy is right to break the chain of virus transmission," he asserted, Tuesday (9/2).

COVID-19 patients without symptoms to mild symptoms who have been undergoing self-isolation in their houses are feared to transmit the virus to other family members.

Thus he also asked urban village apparatuses to intensify 3M socialization to the residents (wearing mask, maintaining safe distance, and washing hands).

"We are optimistic Jakarta residents' awareness towards COVID-19 can be increased, thus city's efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission can run optimally," he closed.
